1. Introduction and Scope
This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which Dungeon Flap ("the Application"), developed and maintained as an independent software release ("we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, maintains, and discloses information collected from users ("you" or "User") of the Android mobile application distributed via the Google Play Store.
By installing, accessing, or using the Application, you signify your acceptance of this policy. If you do not agree to this policy, please do not download, install, or use our Application.
2. Information We Collect
We prioritize user privacy and minimize data collection. We do not require users to create personal accounts, register with names or email addresses, or provide identity documents to use the core application.
A. Information We Do NOT Collect
- No Personally Identifiable Information (PII): We do not collect names, home addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, or social security details.
- No Precise Location Data: We do not request, access, or track GPS or precise location data.
- No Biometric or Sensitive Data: We do not access microphones, cameras, contacts, SMS, or media libraries.
B. Automatically Collected Technical Data
When you access the Application, automated diagnostic and telemetry services operated by third-party infrastructure providers may automatically log certain non-personally identifiable technical information, including:
- Device model, manufacturer, and hardware specifications
- Operating system version and build numbers
- Network state and connection type (e.g., Wi-Fi, Cellular)
- System performance telemetry, frame rendering rates, and battery stats
- Crash logs, stack traces, and unhandled runtime exceptions
- Anonymous advertising identifiers (Google Advertising ID / GAID) where permitted by user device settings
3. Third-Party Services and SDKs
The Application integrates third-party Software Development Kits (SDKs) to facilitate basic service operation, crash reporting, game center integrations, and optional monetization. These third parties collect and process information under their own respective privacy disclosures.
| Service Provider | Purpose | Information Shared / Processed | Policy Link |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Play Services | Core operating system bridge, API availability, achievements, security integrity checks | Device hardware details, IP address, Google account token (if signed in natively) | Google Privacy Policy |
| Google AdMob | Delivery of banner and interstitial game advertisements | Device advertising identifiers (GAID), coarse network location, ad engagement metrics | AdMob Privacy Terms |
| Firebase Crashlytics | Diagnostic crash analysis, exception catching, and stability tracking | Crash stack traces, device state at time of crash, unique installation UUIDs | Firebase Privacy & Security |
We encourage you to review the policies linked above to understand how these third parties handle telemetry and ad serving.
4. How We Use Collected Information
Any data processed directly or indirectly through third-party libraries is utilized exclusively for the following operational objectives:
- Application Stability: Detecting, reproducing, and fixing software crashes and rendering regressions across Android versions.
- Mechanic Balancing: Analyzing aggregate, anonymous telemetry to improve game physics, frame pacing, and level progression.
- Security & Fraud Prevention: Ensuring compliance with platform rules, detecting emulator bots, and preventing score tampering.
- Ad Delivery: Serving contextual or non-personalized advertisements to support continuous maintenance of the free application.
5. Local Data Storage & Persistence
The Application stores your game state, high scores, unlocked achievements, audio volume preferences, and localized settings entirely locally on your device using local sandboxed storage (SharedPreferences / application sandboxes).
- We do not transmit or mirror your gameplay save states to external private databases.
- Your local data is completely isolated within your device operating system sandbox and cannot be accessed by other applications.
6. User Data Rights & Data Deletion Mechanisms
In accordance with Google Play Developer Policies, GDPR, and CCPA regulations, you have full control over all data generated by your use of the Application:
A. Deleting Local Save Data
Because all high scores and configuration options reside locally on your physical device, you can completely and permanently delete all data at any time:
- Open your Android device Settings.
- Navigate to Apps (or Application Manager) > Dungeon Flap.
- Select Storage & Cache.
- Tap Clear Storage (or Clear Data).
B. Revoking Advertising Identifiers
To opt out of interest-based ads or reset your anonymous advertising ID:
- Open device Settings > Google > All Services.
- Select Ads.
- Tap Reset advertising ID or Delete advertising ID.
C. Formal Inquiries and Erasure Requests
If you have any questions regarding data collected by integrated services or wish to submit an erasure request, contact us directly at privacy@yourdomain.com. We will process and respond to legitimate requests within 30 days.
7. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)
Our Application complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Google Play Families Policies.
- The Application does not knowingly collect, solicit, or maintain personal information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area).
- In the event that we discover a child has provided us with personal data through third-party communication channels, we will immediately delete such records from our systems.
- If you are a parent or legal guardian and believe that your child has provided personal information to us, please notify us immediately at privacy@yourdomain.com.
8. International Data Transfers & Security
Third-party service providers (such as Google and Firebase) may process and store anonymous telemetry data on servers located outside of your country of residence, including within the United States. These providers maintain enterprise-standard organizational, physical, and technical safeguards, including HTTPS encryption in transit and SOC2/ISO 27001 data center compliance.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time to reflect software updates, legal revisions, or newly integrated SDKs. Any modifications will be posted directly to this URL with an updated "Last Updated" timestamp at the top of the document. We recommend reviewing this page periodically to remain informed of our privacy standards.
